Name's Aak. I make medicinal compounds but for all that boring baby stuff like headaches just go to the clinic. If you've got something really interesting and are willing to take a few risks hit me up. I don't have a supply of painkillers yet so complainers need not apply.

"Simpler" is one thing, but I think there are many others who would judge one being into causing pain more harshly than one into receiving it.

Just because you enjoy inflicting pain doesn't mean you want to be cruel about it.
I guess if someone didn't care about that at all and callously hurt others just to satisfy themselves, that might be considered pretty evil, but...
There's got to be some sort of gray area, right...?

Well. If you were going to try to test out what could be poisonous or medicinal, there are far worse people to do it on than those actively committing crimes.
Regardless of what I might have admitted about myself, I do avoid doing so, so I'd like to think that would exclude me from your potential test subjects...
( there's no guarantee that his demonic constitution would metabolize whatever aak injects into him the same as humans (or any terran race) anyway... )

( though, for makoto, the joy he feels at seeing another in pain is lessened substantially when he's not the one directly causing it. there's something very particular in that intimacy of authorship...
he also still has a weird hang-up on wanting it to be at least moderately consensual, as well. even if they were a truly bad person, he thinks he'd feel guilty if not... it's not like he's a good person, after all. )
I'm not sure my body metabolizes things the same as a human one, so it might not be as accurate for certain tests as you might want.

( on one hand, makoto is the type of archetypal underdog who will typically do anything to gain a shred of strength or power, considering it's not naturally given to him.
